Warehouse Manager

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Warehouse Manager to lead a team of around 30 staff, including two supervisors, at our Chessington distribution centre. Reporting to the General Manager and Company Directors, you will ensure efficient warehouse operations and meet productivity, quality and safety targets.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, motivate and organise a warehouse team to achieve and exceed productivity goals.
• Recruit, train and monitor performance of staff, ensuring compliance with company policies.
• Manage receipt, order, assembly and dispatch of goods using automated and computerised systems.
• Maintain accurate stock control, inventory records and capacity planning.
• Oversee health, safety, hygiene and security standards within the warehouse.
• Coordinate maintenance of vehicles, machinery, equipment and warehouse management systems.
• Handle customer communications via email and telephone.
• Ensure trade counter service levels and maintain a clean working environment.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Warehouse Manager.
• Strong focus on recruitment, training and hands‑on leadership.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Comfortable using various IT systems.

What we offer

• Full‑time permanent role with competitive salary £35,000‑£40,000 (DOE).
