Warehouse Manager

About the role

Our client is seeking an experienced Warehouse Manager to lead all aspects of warehouse operations, inventory management and logistics in Chessington. You will own a busy warehouse function, drive operational improvements and help shape the future of the business as a new Warehouse Management System (WMS) is implemented.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day warehouse activities including receiving, storage, picking, packing, dispatch and returns.
• Maintain a safe, clean, secure and well‑organised environment, upholding Health & Safety standards.
• Oversee stock receipt, storage, movements and inventory accuracy using ERP and warehouse systems.
• Conduct regular stock counts and reconciliations, investigate discrepancies and implement corrective actions.
• Ensure stock rotation procedures and inventory controls are consistently applied.
• Perform incoming goods inspections to verify quality before storage.
• Manage demonstration and loan equipment, ensuring proper preparation, recording and return.
• Oversee order assembly, product configuration and pre‑dispatch checks for accuracy and quality.
• Coordinate order fulfilment to guarantee accurate and on‑time customer deliveries.
• Manage courier bookings and freight movements while maintaining strong relationships with logistics providers.
• Investigate delivery issues, monitor shipments and resolve transport queries efficiently.

Required profile

• Proven experience in warehouse management, preferably in a fast‑paced environment.
• Hands‑on leadership style with the ability to lead by example and motivate teams.
• Strong communication skills to collaborate with Sales, Purchasing, Finance and Service departments.
• Commitment to health & safety, process improvement and embracing change.
• Ability to analyse data, identify inefficiencies and implement best‑practice solutions.
