Warehouse Manager

About the role

Our client seeks an experienced Warehouse Manager to lead the Stores and Warehouse function within a fast‑paced manufacturing environment. You will be responsible for ensuring accurate receipt, storage, control and dispatch of products while driving operational excellence and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee day‑to‑day warehouse and stores operations including goods‑in, storage, stock control, picking, packing and dispatch.
• Lead, coach and develop the Stores team, fostering a culture of accountability and high performance.
• Manage inventory accuracy, stock rotation and investigate discrepancies, implementing corrective actions.
• Collaborate with Production and Supply Chain teams to meet delivery targets.
• Monitor, analyse and report operational performance data and key KPIs.
• Drive Lean and continuous improvement initiatives to optimise productivity and reduce waste.
• Coordinate stock‑take activities and act as subject‑matter expert for warehouse‑related ERP processes.
• Ensure compliance with Health & Safety, GDPR and company policies.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing a warehouse or stores in a manufacturing setting.
• Strong inventory control and stock management expertise.
• Excellent leadership, people management and stakeholder communication skills.
• Proactive problem‑solving approach with experience improving processes and systems.
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement methodologies.
• High attention to detail and commitment to quality.
