Warehouse Manager

About the role

We are launching a brand‑new warehouse in Yeovil and need an experienced Warehouse Manager to take full ownership of the site. This high‑impact role combines hands‑on operational leadership with a strategic focus on growth, performance and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Take full operational ownership of the new warehouse site.
• Lead, develop and motivate the warehouse team, fostering a strong performance culture.
• Establish processes, SOPs, KPIs and operational standards from the ground up.
• Maintain consistently high performance in a next‑day delivery environment.
• Drive continuous improvement across productivity, accuracy, quality and cost.
• Manage labour planning, resource utilisation and operational capacity.
• Develop the operation to support significant future growth.
• Identify and implement opportunities for process improvement and efficiency.
• Collaborate with senior leadership and other functions to align warehouse performance with wider business objectives.
• Ensure high standards of health & safety, compliance and housekeeping.
• Be highly visible and hands‑on within the operation, leading from the front.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing a busy warehouse or distribution operation.
• Experience in a fast‑paced, next‑day delivery or e‑commerce environment.
• Strong track record of delivering continuous improvement.
• Experience setting up, developing or transforming warehouse operations.
• Strong leadership and people‑management skills.
• Hands‑on approach combined with strategic thinking.
• Excellent organisational and problem‑solving abilities.
• Drive and ambition to make a significant impact within a rapidly growing business.
