Warehouse Manager Nights

About the role

As the Night Shift Warehouse Manager you will be the senior operational leader for a 100‑plus colleague team, overseeing both permanent and agency staff. You will ensure the night shift runs safely, efficiently and on plan while fostering a high‑performance culture.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, motivate and support a mixed workforce of permanent and agency employees.
• Allocate labour, monitor operational targets and drive performance against KPIs.
• Oversee day‑to‑day warehouse operations across multiple departments, including stock accuracy and equipment maintenance.
• Manage shift handovers, operational reporting and labour planning.
• Conduct health & safety walk‑arounds and enforce safe working practices.
• Handle employee relations matters such as performance reviews, disciplinary and grievance meetings.
• Support recruitment, onboarding and ongoing colleague development.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading large teams (100+ staff) in a fast‑paced logistics environment.
• Strong understanding of warehouse and logistics operations, including stock control and labour planning.
• Ability to manage both permanent and agency workforces and address challenging behaviours.
• Excellent communication and people‑management skills, comfortable with difficult conversations.
• Experience working night shifts and managing rotational shift patterns.

Required skills

• Warehouse Management System (WMS) proficiency.
• Microsoft Office competence.
• Use of operational reporting tools.

• Full‑time permanent contract (40.25 hours per week).
