Warehouse Night Manager

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Warehouse Night Manager to lead a busy night‑shift warehouse team in Oxford. The role is permanent, covering the Thursday‑to‑Sunday shift from 5:30 pm to 2:30 am, and offers a salary of up to £45,000.

Key responsibilities

• Lead day‑to‑day warehouse operations on the permanent night shift, meeting productivity, quality and service targets.
• Drive continuous‑improvement initiatives to boost efficiency and operational performance.
• Maintain high standards of housekeeping, health & safety, and operational discipline.
• Plan labour resources, manage workforce capacity and support growth plans.
• Collaborate with wider operational teams to ensure seamless service delivery.
• Motivate, develop and manage a team of approximately 30 employees, including Warehouse Supervisors.
• Conduct performance reviews, manage attendance, sickness and employee‑relations matters.
• Promote a positive, accountable culture that enhances engagement and retention.

Required profile

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience managing a warehouse or distribution operation, preferably in an FMCG environment.
• Proven ability to lead large teams on a night shift and make real‑time operational decisions.
• Strong knowledge of health & safety, stock accuracy and warehouse productivity metrics.
• Experience in labour planning, cost control and employee development.
