Warehouse Night Shift Supervisor

About the role

Planet Recruitment is seeking an experienced Warehouse Night Shift Supervisor to lead the overnight operations of a well‑established logistics centre. You will be responsible for ensuring the safe, efficient movement of goods while maintaining clear communication with both the outgoing and incoming teams.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate all warehouse activities throughout the night shift.
• Act as the primary point of contact for the night operations team, ensuring adherence to the operational plan.
• Lead, motivate and support warehouse operatives and drivers during the shift.
• Oversee safe loading and unloading of company vehicles, trucks and trailers.
• Build and break down aircraft pallets according to procedures.
• Cross‑check cargo against documentation to guarantee accuracy.
• Maintain high health and safety standards and report any issues to management.
• Prepare a comprehensive hand‑over email for the incoming shift supervisor.
• Perform any additional duties required to support the operation.

Required profile

• Previous supervisory experience in a warehouse, logistics or transport environment.
• Experience in air cargo or freight handling is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of warehouse and transport operations.
• Excellent leadership, organisational and time‑management abilities.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced, physically demanding setting.
• Commitment to health and safety procedures.

Required skills

• Material Handling Equipment (MHE) operation
• Forklift truck operation (up to 10 tonnes)
