Warehouse Operations Manager

About the role

A growing manufacturing business is looking for a Warehouse Operations Manager to lead its on‑site warehouse and internal logistics. The role is hands‑on, reporting to the Supply Chain leadership team and responsible for efficient material flow and inventory accuracy.

Key responsibilities

• Lead day‑to‑day warehouse and internal logistics operations, including goods‑in, storage and dispatch.
• Maintain inventory accuracy for raw materials, work‑in‑progress and finished goods.
• Drive stock control processes such as cycle counts, reconciliations and root‑cause analysis.
• Optimise warehouse layout, material flow and storage strategies to maximise efficiency.
• Collaborate with Production, Planning and Procurement to ensure material availability.
• Monitor KPIs including inventory accuracy, labour productivity and service levels.
• Lead, develop and motivate the warehouse team to achieve operational excellence.
• Implement and improve SOPs, Lean/5S and continuous‑improvement initiatives.
• Ensure health & safety, quality and compliance standards are met.
• Support logistics coordination for timely and cost‑effective transport of goods.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing warehouse operations, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong inventory management and stock‑control expertise.
• Experience with ERP/WMS systems.
• Hands‑on leadership style with ability to engage and develop teams.
• Problem‑solving skills and continuous‑improvement mindset.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced, high‑volume setting.
