Warehouse Operations Manager – PM Shift

About the role

The Warehouse Operations Manager (PM Shift, 12:00‑20:00) will lead a fast‑paced 3PL site in Derbyshire, overseeing a 250,000+ sq ft facility that serves retail, e‑commerce, fashion and FMCG customers. Reporting to the Site Assistant General Manager, you will be responsible for driving operational excellence across warehousing and distribution.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership for all operational activities, including warehousing, distribution, continuous improvement and projects.
• Lead and develop a high‑performing site team of 150+ employees, including direct managerial reports.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships to ensure ongoing satisfaction.
• Evolve KPI frameworks and ensure site standardisation.
• Maintain compliance with health, safety and industry regulations.
• Identify and implement process optimisation initiatives to improve efficiency, quality and cost‑effectiveness.

Required profile

• Logistics, distribution or supply‑chain background (essential).
• Minimum 5 years experience as an Operations Manager or Senior Shift Operations Manager.
• Proven experience in a multi‑user 3PL environment.
• Strong leadership with a track record of developing high‑performing teams.
• Experience managing teams of over 100 staff.
• Motivated by large‑scale growth challenges.
• Able to commute to Derbyshire five days a week.
