Warehouse Operative – Chilled Environment

About the role

Join a fast‑paced, chilled warehouse team in St. Helens, handling a range of food products for stores across the UK. This temporary position offers a clear pathway to a permanent contract after 12 weeks.

Key responsibilities

• Pick and prepare items such as alcohol, meats, milk, yogurts, juices and other food products in a 3‑5°C environment.
• Maintain high standards of product quality and shelf‑stock accuracy.
• Operate Low‑Level Order Pickers (LLOP) and Powered Pallet Trucks (PPT) safely.
• Follow health and safety procedures, including lifting loads up to 20 kg.

Required profile

• Willingness to work in a cold environment for part or all of the shift.
• Physical fitness to lift up to 20 kg and stand for extended periods.
• Flexibility to work five shifts a week, including weekends and bank holidays.
• Good verbal and written English with strong attention to detail.
• Eagerness to learn and adapt to different warehouse areas.

Required skills

• Powered Pallet Truck operation
