Warehouse Operative - FLT

About the role

We are recruiting on behalf of a well‑established client who needs a hardworking and reliable Warehouse/Yard Operative with a valid Counterbalance Forklift Truck licence. The role combines forklift operation and manual yard duties in a fast‑paced environment.

Key responsibilities

• Loading and unloading vehicles using a Counterbalance Forklift Truck.
• Accurately picking, packing, and preparing customer orders.
• Assisting customers with collections in a friendly and professional manner.
• Organising, moving, and maintaining stock within the yard.
• Carrying out manual handling and heavy lifting duties.
• Keeping the yard clean, tidy, safe, and well organised.
• Supporting the team with general yard and warehouse duties as required.

Required profile

• Valid Counterbalance Forklift Truck licence (essential).
• Previous experience in a yard, warehouse, builders' merchant or similar environment.
• Good level of physical fitness and ability to perform manual handling tasks.
• Positive attitude with a strong work ethic.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Reliable, punctual and safety‑focused approach.
