Warehouse Operative – Hub Operations

About the role

We are looking for a Hub Operative to join Goodman Masson on a permanent basis. The role provides operational support to the logistics function, managing inventory, tracking supplies and ensuring technicians have the materials they need for maintenance and repair activities.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate with staff and suppliers to ensure clear communication, prompt delivery and provision of the right products and services.
• Maintain van stock profiles, answer queries from field operatives and schedulers, and track pending orders.
• Receive and check incoming deliveries, reporting discrepancies, shortages or damage.
• Keep the warehouse and yard clean, safe and well‑organised, storing materials correctly.
• Conduct routine PAT testing, audits of materials, van stock, equipment and PPE, and support regular stock control activities.
• Perform monthly safety and fire checks and maintain records in the central system.

Required profile

• Previous experience working as part of a team in a warehouse or similar environment.
• Ability to work under pressure, meet strict deadlines and maintain a positive, proactive attitude.
• Good communication skills and the ability to ask the right questions to understand customer needs.
• Desirable: background in housing repairs or technical knowledge, and experience in a warehousing setting.

What we offer

• Annual salary of £27,604.50
• 37‑hour week, Monday‑Friday 8‑4
