Warehouse Operative

About the role

We are seeking a Warehouse Operative to join our busy warehouse in Grays. The role is full‑time, Monday to Friday, and involves handling inbound and outbound stock while maintaining high accuracy and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Load and unload goods, supplies, and shipping containers.
• Check deliveries for damage or missing items.
• Book in, store, and move stock manually or with lifting equipment and forklift trucks.
• Pick and pack multi‑item customer orders.
• Maintain accurate warehouse records and paperwork.
• Keep work areas clean, organised, and safe.
• Communicate with customers via email and telephone.
• Use Warehouse Management System (WMS) for inventory control.
• Ensure all activities comply with Health and Safety regulations.

Required profile

• Previous warehouse experience, especially in picking and packing.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Proactive, reliable, and detail‑oriented.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Good physical fitness for regular lifting and manual handling.
