Warehouse Operative

About the role

Gregory Distribution Ltd is seeking a motivated Warehouse Operative to join its Southampton site. You will support the flow of goods using specialised equipment and ensure orders are processed accurately and on time.

Key responsibilities

• Operate Counterbalance and Robur trucks to move and dispatch stock (training provided).
• Use handheld scanners and the warehouse management system to receive, locate, pick and ship items.
• Handle goods with care, maintain quality standards and follow safety procedures.
• Replenish stock, consolidate inventory and keep the warehouse organised.
• Perform pallet wrapping, labelling and preparation of shipments.
• Maintain a clean, safe workspace and ensure equipment is in good condition.
• Complete paperwork, follow procedures and report any issues promptly.

Required profile

• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced, physical environment.
• Basic numeracy and literacy for reading instructions and handling documentation.
• Self‑motivated, proactive and able to work independently or as part of a team.

Required skills

• Counterbalance forklift operation (licence desirable, training provided).
• Robur truck operation.
• Handheld scanner usage.
• Warehouse management system navigation.
