Warehouse Operative

About the role

We are seeking a Warehouse Operative to join our Groundcare warehouse in Maldon, supporting the day‑to‑day handling of machinery, parts and equipment for the agricultural, construction and professional ground‑care markets.

Key responsibilities

• Receive, unpack and accurately process supplier deliveries and parcels.
• Load and unload supplier vehicles, handling items up to 25 kg.
• Maintain stock control, conduct inventory checks and transfer stock to the showroom and goods‑inward areas.
• Distribute products to branches across East Anglia and support overall warehouse operations.

Required profile

• Previous warehouse or stock‑control experience is desirable.
• Excellent communication and the ability to work politely with suppliers and colleagues.
• Good numeracy, literacy and attention to detail when recording stock data.
• Physically fit, able to lift items up to 25 kg safely.

Required skills

• Forklift licence (desirable).
• Full driving licence.
• Basic computer skills, including email and internet use.
