Warehouse Operative – Night Shift

About the role

GXO Logistics is seeking motivated individuals to join its night‑shift team at the Heinz Kraft site in Wigan. As a Warehouse Operative you will work 22:00‑06:00, helping to keep the flow of goods moving efficiently throughout the night.

Key responsibilities

• Load, unload and dispatch vehicles accurately, completing paperwork and stock checks.
• Pick cases, move pallets and replenish stock to meet customer and assembly deadlines.
• Operate warehouse equipment such as Counterbalance forklifts, Reach trucks, LLOP and radio data terminals.
• Maintain high health, safety, HACCP and quality standards, keeping work areas clean and organised.
• Participate in continuous‑improvement projects, including Lean Six Sigma initiatives.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a warehouse, logistics or distribution environment.
• Ability to work reliably night shifts and handle manual‑handling tasks.
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative attitude.
• Flexibility to adapt to a fast‑paced, changing environment.
