Warehouse Operative / Picker

About the role

The Warehouse Operative / Picker will support the day‑to‑day running of LWC Drinks' North East depot. This physically demanding role involves manual handling, order picking and maintaining accurate stock locations within a busy distribution environment.

Key responsibilities

• Pick customer orders accurately and place them in the correct delivery locations.
• Receive new stock, verify delivery notes and put away items in the appropriate bin‑bay locations as quickly as possible.
• Monitor stock levels, report shortages and assist with ordering when required.
• Participate in weekly stock audits and monthly stock takes, including weekend sessions.
• Complete out‑of‑date, damaged‑stock and equipment record sheets.
• Follow health and safety procedures, wear required PPE and operate equipment safely.
• Assist drivers as a second‑man or driver’s mate when needed.

Required profile

• Good teamwork and communication skills.
• Ability to prioritise workloads in a fast‑paced environment.
• Flexible approach to shift patterns, including possible weekend rota.

Required skills

• Flexi FLT licence (advantageous).
