Warehouse Operative – Rotating 3‑Shift Role

About the role

We are seeking a motivated Warehouse Operative to join our busy Thatcham facility. The role involves supporting daily warehouse operations in a fast‑paced environment while maintaining high standards of accuracy, safety, and efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Receive, unload and verify incoming deliveries.
• Pick, pack and prepare orders for dispatch.
• Load and unload vehicles safely.
• Maintain accurate stock levels and report any discrepancies.
• Store goods correctly and keep the warehouse tidy and compliant with health and safety regulations.
• Assist with stock counts and inventory management.
• Operate warehouse equipment responsibly, including forklift trucks when qualified.
• Support the team to meet operational targets.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a warehouse, logistics or distribution setting.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
• Ability to work well as part of a team.
• Good organisational skills and a proactive attitude.
• Physically fit for manual handling duties.
• Understanding of warehouse health and safety procedures.
• Reliable, punctual and hardworking.

Required skills

• Forklift truck (counterbalance) operation or licence.
• Use of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
• Stock control and inventory management.
