Warehouse Operative – Stores Person (Axminster)

About the role

We are looking for a Warehouse Operative / Stores Person to join a busy engineering and logistics depot in Axminster. The role involves handling goods in and out, supporting shipping, stock control and general depot operations in a fast‑paced environment.

Key responsibilities

• Picking, packing and preparing goods for dispatch.
• Loading and unloading trucks and lorries using pump trucks and warehouse equipment.
• Shipping and booking goods out through internal systems.
• Goods‑in duties, including booking stock in and putting parts away.
• Conducting inventory counts and updating ERP/MRP systems.
• Maintaining general warehouse housekeeping and providing depot support.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a warehouse or stores environment.
• Experience in logistics, goods in/out, or engineering stores.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment with strong organisational skills.
• Available to start immediately.

Required skills

• ERP/MRP system usage.
• Forklift licence (training provided if not held).
