Warehouse Operator / Line Feeder

About the role

We are looking for a reliable Warehouse Operator / Line Feeder to join a reputable manufacturing firm in Gateshead. The role involves supporting the production line by moving and preparing materials, ensuring smooth workflow throughout the shift.

Key responsibilities

• Attend daily briefings with the Team Leader or Supervisor to review workload.
• Transport materials across the manufacturing floor using a pallet truck.
• Pick and stage products for production operators.
• Carry out visual quality inspections on all items.
• Perform general warehouse duties, including labouring and material handling in the distribution area.
• Handle heavy loads and manually move items as required.

Required profile

• Positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills.
• Confidence to take on additional responsibilities.
• Ability to perform regular heavy manual handling.
• Experience using hand tools is desirable.
