Warehouse Shift Manager – Backshift/Afternoons

About the role

DX Network Services is seeking a proactive Shift Manager to lead the back‑shift/afternoon warehouse team in Haydock. You will be responsible for delivering a safe, efficient and cost‑effective operation while meeting service level agreements and key performance indicators.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage the warehousing operation for the shift, ensuring accurate sortation of goods.
• Maintain compliance with company policies, health & safety standards and proactive risk management.
• Control shift costs and monitor performance against KPI targets.
• Engage and motivate the team to deliver excellent customer service.
• Oversee performance management, conduct, absence, training and development of team members.
• Produce a shift summary and handover record, highlighting any exceptions and actions taken.

Required profile

• Previous experience in the logistics or distribution industry.
• Proven ability to lead and develop a shift‑based team.
• Strong focus on meeting Service Level Agreements and KPI targets.
• Capability to manage costs, performance and health & safety compliance.
