Warehouse Supervisor

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Warehouse Supervisor to lead daily warehouse operations in Rochester. The role is hands‑on, focusing on safety, efficiency and accuracy while supporting a fast‑paced team.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and support Warehouse Operatives across the warehouse, yard and external storage areas.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental regulations.
• Plan, prioritise and allocate daily workloads, including rotating shifts.
• Train, mentor and develop team members.
• Coordinate with Transport and Logistics managers to plan labour and daily activities.
• Oversee the Goods‑In process to maintain accuracy and product availability.
• Maintain a clear, organised receiving area and redirect labour during busy periods.
• Ensure accurate picking and delivery of parts to production areas.
• Optimise warehouse and yard space, introducing visual management where needed.
• Drive continuous improvement and reduce stock discrepancies.
• Support perpetual inventory counting and eliminate root‑cause stock issues.
• Monitor KPIs, address performance issues and implement corrective actions.
• Assist the Logistics Manager with operational projects as required.

Required profile

• Proven experience supervising warehouse or logistics teams.
• Strong knowledge of health, safety and environmental standards.
• Ability to plan, prioritise and allocate workloads effectively.
• Excellent communication and team‑development skills.
• Experience working with transport and logistics coordination.
