Warehouse Supervisor

About the role

Our client, a fast‑growing e‑commerce and fulfilment business in Rochester, is looking for a Warehouse Supervisor to lead the day‑shift operations. You will be responsible for overseeing a team of around 14 operatives, ensuring that goods‑in, pick‑pack and dispatch processes run smoothly and meet productivity, quality and safety targets.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the day shift with briefings, workload allocation and performance monitoring.
• Manage goods‑in activities, checking deliveries and storing stock accurately.
• Oversee pick, pack and dispatch across multiple e‑commerce channels, including Amazon FBA shipments.
• Coordinate palletisation, labelling and outbound collections.
• Coach, train and support the warehouse team, including onboarding new starters.
• Ensure compliance with SOPs, health & safety procedures and on‑call rota (every second Sunday).

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years’ supervisory experience in e‑commerce, fulfilment or 3PL environments.
• Experience managing teams of eight or more operatives.
• Strong knowledge of goods‑in, picking, packing, dispatch and Amazon FBA processes.
• Proactive attitude towards improving standards, processes and team performance.

Required skills

• Use of Warehouse Management Systems – preferably Linnworks.
• Forklift operation – counterbalance or reach licence (or willingness to obtain).
