Warehouse Supervisor

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Warehouse Supervisor to join an international FMCG supplier in Guildford. The role works on a fortnightly rotating shift pattern, supporting the Shift Manager to ensure smooth warehouse operations and compliance with health and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Support the Shift Manager with day‑to‑day warehouse operations across two core shifts.
• Distribute workload to ensure tasks are completed within set timeframes.
• Manage personnel matters such as time‑keeping, return‑to‑work interviews, incident reporting, investigations and disciplinaries.
• Identify and resolve team issues, escalating when necessary.
• Liaise regularly with the Shift Manager to communicate tasks, processes and updates.
• Maintain a safe working environment by adhering to health and safety requirements.
• Deputise for the Shift Manager during holidays or sickness.
• Be visible on the shop floor for the majority of the shift, leading by example.
• Identify training needs for staff and support continuous development.

Required profile

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent organisational abilities and the capacity to work under pressure.
• Good computer literacy.
• Solid knowledge of distribution and warehouse processes.
