Warehouse Supervisor – Lead Team & Manage Stock

About the role

We are partnering with a rapidly growing business in Shefford to find an experienced Warehouse Supervisor. You will work alongside an established supervisor to co‑manage daily warehousing activities, drive performance and support a busy multi‑site operation.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, motivate and train warehouse operatives, setting productivity standards and reporting performance.
• Manage all stock across the warehouse, containers and external yards using a digital stock management system.
• Oversee goods‑in and goods‑out processes to ensure quality control and high customer satisfaction.
• Unload incoming containers, handle stock transit between sites and drive a 3.5t Luton van.
• Maintain a safe, tidy warehouse and yard, coordinate inspections and upkeep of forklifts and essential equipment.
• Conduct stock audits, inventory reconciliations and suggest procedural improvements.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a warehouse supervisor, team leader or senior logistics role.
• Valid UK driving licence and a Counterbalance Forklift licence.
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks and handle heavy stock items.
• Experience with basic HR activities such as performance reviews and disciplinary processes.

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Office/Excel.
• Experience with warehouse software packages.
• Counterbalance forklift operation.
