Water Efficiency Plumber

About the role

Join a leading utilities service provider as a Water Efficiency Plumber, delivering free water‑efficiency visits to households across the Essex region. You will help customers reduce water consumption, lower carbon emissions and save money while supporting a nationally recognised environmental programme.

Key responsibilities

• Visit homes to assess plumbing fixtures and install water‑saving devices such as taps, showers and toilets.
• Diagnose and repair leaking toilets, urinals and other fixtures, ensuring efficient operation.
• Carry out water‑efficiency assessments, take meter readings and record data using a bespoke mobile application.
• Inspect urinals for uncontrolled flow and fit control fittings where required.
• Provide tailored advice to customers on reducing water usage.

Required profile

• City & Guilds Level 2 NVQ in Plumbing (essential).
• Full UK driving licence (essential).
• GCSEs in Mathematics and English.
• National Water Hygiene “Blue Card” (preferred – training can be provided).
• Strong communication and customer‑service skills.
