Water Hygiene Technician – Level 2/3

About the role

Join Aquacare, the specialist water hygiene and commercial heating arm of Pennon Group, as a Water Hygiene Technician. You will work across the South of England, ensuring safe drinking water and compliant Legionella control for a range of customers.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out Legionella control tasks such as temperature checks, flushing and water sampling.
• Maintain accurate monitoring records for each customer site.
• Clean and disinfect hot‑ and cold‑water systems and cooling circuits.
• Service and maintain thermostatic mixing valves (TMVs) and shower heads.
• Identify faults on‑site and perform corrective actions to achieve first‑time fixes.
• Collaborate with the scheduling team to plan and complete jobs efficiently.
• Communicate with customers and colleagues to meet contract requirements and promptly escalate any compliance concerns.

Required profile

• GCSEs (Grade A–C) or equivalent.
• Water Hygiene Technician Level 2–3 (or working towards qualification).
• Full UK driving licence.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.

Required skills

• Legionella control.
• Water system cleaning and disinfection.
• TMV servicing.
