Weapons Engineering Training Instructor

About the role

Our client, an innovative leader in the education sector, is seeking a Weapons Engineering Training Instructor to deliver high‑quality training for the Royal Navy's Weapons Engineering department. This permanent, onsite position is based in Portsmouth and focuses on improving training delivery standards within the Defence Training industry.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver training on maintenance principles and fault‑finding techniques for Royal Navy electronic systems.
• Teach classes of up to 16 students, ensuring clear understanding of technical content.
• Collaborate with Learning & Development and a team of 10 instructors to align curriculum with operational needs.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to learning strategy development.

Required profile

• Experience in Defence training or related defence fields.
• Electrical qualification (Level 3) or proven equivalent experience.
• Understanding of Royal Navy Weapons Engineering is desirable.
• Level 4 teaching certificate or equivalent is an advantage.
• Previous teaching, instructing or coaching experience is beneficial.
