Weekend Care Assistant

About the role

Join a Barchester care home as a Weekend Care Assistant and help residents enjoy each day with high‑quality support and companionship. You will work on weekends to ensure residents receive assistance with daily living tasks, personalised attention and a friendly environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assist residents with food, drink and personal care according to individual care plans.
• Provide one‑to‑one time and emotional support, fostering positive memories.
• Monitor residents’ wellbeing and report any changes to senior staff.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment within the care home.
• Collaborate with the care team to deliver consistent, person‑centred care.

Required profile

• Previous experience caring for older adults.
• Positive, can‑do attitude and strong communication skills.
• Empathetic, warm‑hearted approach with a genuine desire to help.
