Weekend On‑Call Clinical Vascular Scientist (Band 8a)

About the role

Day Webster is recruiting a Band 8a Clinical Vascular Scientist to provide on‑call weekend and bank‑holiday coverage for a hospital in Sutton. The role involves performing a wide range of vascular ultrasound examinations at a rate of £60 per hour.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver on‑call vascular ultrasound examinations during weekends and bank holidays.
• Perform carotid Doppler scans as part of the Trust’s TIA Stroke on‑call service.
• Support the delivery of high‑quality imaging for acute stroke pathways.
• Adhere to rota schedules provided in advance and confirm availability on a first‑come‑first‑serve basis.

Required profile

• Qualified Vascular Scientist (Band 8a) with experience in vascular sonography.
• Available to work Saturdays, Sundays and bank holidays throughout the year.
• Ready to start as soon as possible on an ongoing basis.
