Weighbridge Operator

About the role

Envar is seeking a reliable Weighbridge Operator to manage the daily operation of its weighbridge facility at the Woodhurst site. You will be the first point of contact for customers, ensuring accurate weight recordings and compliance with legal and environmental regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Direct traffic onto the site and operate the weighbridge safely.
• Use the Wastemetrix system to record vehicle weights, waste types and collect driver signatures.
• Process delivery notes and tickets accurately and report any anomalies.
• Verify that waste yardage reports are correct and update records as needed.
• Provide information to customers about site rules, paperwork and EWC codes.
• Handle general administrative duties, answer phones and respond to queries.
• Report health and safety issues promptly to management.

Required profile

• Intermediate proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask.
• Positive, respectful attitude and teamwork orientation.
• GCSE‑level education (grades A‑C) and experience in an administrative role.
