Welding Trainer – Adult & Community Learning

About the role

Join the Adult & Community Learning division in Middlesbrough as a Welding Trainer. You will design, deliver and assess industry‑focused welding programmes for adult learners, helping them gain practical skills and employability.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver high‑quality welding and fabrication training, including inductions and initial assessments.
• Develop tailored learning plans that align with employer expectations and industry standards.
• Manage a caseload of learners, providing ongoing mentoring, progress reviews and support toward employment or further training.
• Build and maintain relationships with local employers and external partners to support recruitment and workforce development.
• Monitor learner progress and programme performance to meet retention, achievement and compliance targets.

Required profile

• Relevant industrial qualification at minimum Level 3 (or willingness to commence on appointment).
• Grade C/4 or above in Maths and English, or equivalent.
• Current experience in welding or related subject area.
• Commitment to undertake any mandatory training for the role.
