Wellbeing and Activities Assistant

About the role

As a Wellbeing and Activities Assistant at Chertsey Parklands Manor Care Home, you will work closely with the Wellbeing Coordinator to deliver a variety of activities that promote physical, cognitive and social wellbeing for our residents. This full‑time, onsite position offers the chance to make a daily positive impact in a supportive, award‑winning team.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Wellbeing Coordinator in planning and delivering resident‑focused activities.
• Maintain a safe and welcoming environment for both residents and staff.
• Report any changes in residents’ physical or emotional condition to the coordinator, Home Manager and care staff.
• Help order and prepare supplies needed for upcoming activities.
• Develop links with local community groups such as schools, museums, libraries and spiritual organisations to encourage intergenerational engagement.

Required profile

• Demonstrates caring, supportive, honest, respectful and accountable values.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Positive attitude towards older people and commitment to delivering quality activities.
• Previous experience working with older adults in a residential nursing or dementia setting.
