Wills and Probate Solicitor (Tyneside)

About the role

JDI Legal is partnering with an established Tyneside law firm to recruit a Wills and Probate Solicitor. The successful candidate will join a small, dedicated team of three and manage a diverse caseload of probate, estate administration, lasting powers of attorney and will matters.

Key responsibilities

• Take client instructions and run matters from start to finish.
• Draft wills, probate applications, estate administration documents and LPA paperwork.
• Provide clear, accurate advice to clients on inheritance and estate planning.
• Maintain accurate case records and meet statutory deadlines.
• Collaborate with senior partners to ensure high‑quality client service.

Required profile

• Qualified solicitor (up to 4 years post‑qualification) or CILEX/experienced paralegal with 3+ years relevant experience.
• Proven ability to manage own caseload with attention to detail.
• Strong client‑care focus and reliable team member.
• Willingness to work full‑time, with flexibility for reduced hours for more senior candidates.

Required skills

• Experience in probate and estate administration matters.
• Competence in drafting wills, LPA and related legal documents.
• Ability to interpret and apply relevant legislation.
