Women's First Team Assistant Head Coach

About the role

As the Women's First Team Assistant Head Coach you will work directly with the Head Coach to prepare, manage and develop a squad capable of competing at the top of the FA Women’s Super League. You will be responsible for tactical and technical preparation, collaborating closely with the analysis team to devise game‑specific strategies and ensuring each player is mentally and physically ready to perform.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Head Coach in planning and delivering training sessions.
• Lead tactical and technical preparation for matches.
• Collaborate with the analysis team to create opponent‑specific game plans.
• Support individual player development and wellbeing.
• Maintain alignment with the club’s game model and performance standards.

Required profile

• Proven experience coaching elite women’s and girls’ players.
• Strong understanding of the FA Women’s and Girls’ player pathway and Long‑Term Player Development.
• Ability to work collaboratively with coaches and multi‑disciplinary support staff.
• Commitment to safeguarding and first‑aid standards.

Required skills

• UEFA A coaching certificate.
• FA First Aid certificate.
• FA Safeguarding Children certificate.
