Work at Height Trainee Trainer – Leeds

About the role

This full‑time position is ideal for someone eager to start a career in training and development within the work‑at‑height sector. Based in Leeds, you will join a leading supplier of height‑safety equipment serving electricity, rail and arboriculture industries. As a Trainee Trainer you will receive hands‑on coaching from experienced professionals, preparing you to deliver independent training sessions.

Key responsibilities

• Assist senior trainers in preparing and delivering work‑at‑height training courses.
• Develop and update training materials and course documentation.
• Observe, participate in, and eventually lead training facilitation.
• Conduct research to support course content and ensure accuracy.
• Collect participant feedback and maintain training records and paperwork.
• Handle customer enquiries and support effective programme scheduling.

Required profile

• Strong work ethic with a keen interest in training, coaching and public speaking.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Quick learner who can take initiative and work independently.
• Flexibility to meet course requirements, including early starts and overnight stays.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Preferably experience climbing wood poles or steel structures.

Required skills

• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office.
