Work Based Learning English & Maths Lecturer (Part‑Time)

About the role

This part‑time permanent position supports apprentices and work‑based learners across South Wiltshire in achieving Functional Skills English and Maths qualifications. You will deliver flexible, engaging teaching that complements vocational study, either on‑site, at college campuses, or online.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver Functional Skills English and Maths lessons for individuals and small groups.
• Collaborate with employers, apprentices, and curriculum teams to align teaching with workplace needs.
• Assess learner progress, provide feedback, and help overcome barriers to learning.
• Maintain accurate records of attendance, assessments, and learner outcomes.
• Travel regularly within the South Wiltshire region to attend employer sites and college locations.

Required profile

• Experience in Further Education, apprenticeships, or work‑based learning is highly desirable.
• Strong knowledge of English and Maths at Functional Skills level.
• Excellent communication skills and a passion for helping learners succeed.
• Ability to work flexibly across different teaching environments.
