Work Ready Trainer

About the role

Havant and South Downs College (HSDC) is recruiting three Work Ready Trainers to deliver a range of courses for unemployed adults, both on campus and in the local community. The role supports learners in gaining the skills and qualifications needed to move closer to employment.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out training and assessment workload as agreed with your line manager.
• Agree and review learning programmes with DWP, employers and partnership coordinators.
• Undertake assessment, marking and grading of regulated courses both online and in the classroom.
• Design bespoke non‑regulated training to meet specific JCP customer demands.
• Develop and deliver training/coaching sessions for small groups and one‑to‑one learners.
• Undertake Internal Quality Assurance responsibilities for adult courses when required.

Required profile

• Qualified in Assessing and hold a recognised teacher‑training qualification.
• Level 2 or above in the qualification you will be delivering.
• Relevant industry knowledge.
• Work‑Based Trainer qualification (A1 or equivalent).
• IQA qualifications (desirable, training can be provided).
• Literacy and numeracy skills at Level 2 or above.
• Preparing to Teach in the Lifelong Learning Sector (PTLLS) or Level 3 Award in Education and Training (desirable, training can be provided).
