Workday Financials Lead (Hybrid, 12‑month contract)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Workday Financials Lead to provide technical and functional leadership on the Workday Financials platform for a leading wealth‑management division of a major UK bank. The role is a 12‑month contract, hybrid working (2 days in the Leeds office, the rest remote), with standard Monday‑Friday office hours.

Key responsibilities

• Configure, design and support Workday Financials, including Core Financials, Prism reporting, Adaptive Planning and security settings.
• Lead integrations with banking, income and management‑information systems, working closely with third‑party providers and the Data Engineering team.
• Ensure data reconciliation, integrity validation and financial accuracy across all systems.
• Act as the primary liaison between Technology and Finance, aligning the platform with finance processes, controls and regulatory requirements.
• Support release management, regression testing and deployment of system enhancements.
• Provide BAU support, incident management and change management for the Workday environment.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading Workday Financials implementations or large‑scale support.
• Strong understanding of finance operations, reporting and regulatory compliance.
• Ability to work collaboratively with finance, data engineering and external service providers.
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills.
