Workplace Technology Engineer (2nd Line Support)

About the role

Our client is seeking a Workplace Technology Engineer to join their internal IT team in High Wycombe. The role is a hands‑on 2nd‑line position focused on supporting and evolving a modern Microsoft 365 digital workplace, ensuring security, reliability and a great user experience.

Key responsibilities

• Provide 2nd‑line support for Microsoft 365 workplace tools and services.
• Administer Exchange Online, Microsoft Teams, SharePoint Online, OneDrive for Business and Entra ID (Azure AD).
• Manage user accounts, permissions, licensing and group configurations.
• Support endpoint management using Intune and related tools.
• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot incidents and work closely with service‑desk teams.
• Build and maintain Power Apps and Power Automate workflows to improve business processes.
• Assist with governance of the Power Platform (permissions, environments, policies).
• Support readiness and early adoption of Microsoft 365 Copilot and other AI‑driven workplace tools.

Required profile

• Proven experience in a 2nd‑line IT support role.
• Hands‑on experience administering Microsoft 365 in a business environment.
• Strong knowledge of Teams, SharePoint, Exchange Online and Entra ID (Azure AD).
• Experience managing users, permissions and access rights.
• Excellent problem‑solving and communication skills.
