Workshop Controller – Automotive Dealership

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Workshop Controller to join our main franchised dealership in Wembley. Reporting to the Aftersales Manager, you will oversee the day‑to‑day running of the workshop, ensuring efficient allocation of work, meeting productivity targets and delivering high‑quality customer service.

Key responsibilities

• Allocate work to technicians to maximise productivity and efficiency.
• Monitor vehicle progress through the workshop and ensure deadlines are met.
• Liaise with the Service Department to provide a seamless customer experience.
• Provide technical support and guidance to colleagues and customers as required.
• Lead, coach and motivate the workshop team to achieve performance targets.
• Plan and manage incoming work, maintaining high standards of quality, compliance, stock control and Health & Safety.
• Support departmental KPIs and overall business objectives.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Workshop Controller or similar role in a main franchised dealership.
• Strong leadership abilities with a track record of motivating and developing teams.
• Excellent organisational and communication skills.
• Customer‑focused mindset and ability to work in a fast‑paced environment.

• Technical knowledge of workshop operations.
