About the role
We are seeking an experienced Workshop Controller to oversee our client’s commercial workshop at the Portsmouth depot. The role is full‑time, permanent and involves managing day‑to‑day operations, ensuring safety and meeting performance targets.
Key responsibilities
- Lead and organise the workshop team to deliver high‑quality service.
- Monitor and achieve KPIs, budgets and operational targets.
- Prioritise workload, multitask and meet strict deadlines.
- Maintain compliance with health, safety and industry standards.
- Schedule and supervise the mandatory third‑Saturday shift.
Required profile
- Proven experience managing a commercial automotive workshop.
- Strong leadership and organisational abilities.
- High attention to detail and a diligent work approach.
- Essential automotive industry background.
- Essential HGV technical knowledge.
