Workshop Engineer – Generators

About the role

We are looking for a Workshop Engineer specialising in generators and welfare cabins to join a fast‑growing company that supplies over 700 cabins nationwide. The role combines workshop duties with field service across Scotland and the Midlands, offering a balanced mix of hands‑on maintenance and on‑site installations.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, inspect, service and repair generators, welfare cabins and tower lights in the depot workshop.
• Carry out installation, reactive maintenance and breakdown response on site.
• Perform pre‑delivery inspections (PDI) and ensure equipment is returned to full operational status.
• Diagnose faults, order parts and document work performed.
• Maintain accurate records of service activities and adhere to health and safety standards.

Required profile

• Proven experience working on diesel engines, generators or similar plant equipment.
• Ability to work both in a workshop environment and in the field.
• Willingness to commute to the Bonnybridge workshop.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
