Workshop Engineer

About the role

The Workshop Engineer will ensure that all equipment, machinery and attachments are inspected, repaired, maintained and fully documented. The role is based in Slinfold, West Sussex, just outside Horsham, and requires own transport due to the rural location. Working hours are 8‑5 Monday‑Friday with one Saturday shift per month and overtime available.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect all machinery and attachments returned to the depot.
• Conduct thorough checks to confirm equipment meets company standards before leaving the depot.
• Perform major repair work on machines that fail on site.
• Notify the service desk of any defects or damages.
• Maintain a clean, safe and organised workshop environment.

Required profile

• Proven experience in a similar engineering role.
• Demonstrated ability to inspect, repair and maintain equipment.
• Good communication skills.
