Workshop Engineer – Marine Transmissions

About the role

We are seeking a Workshop Engineer with proven experience in marine transmissions to join a global engineering company. In this workshop‑based position you will overhaul, rebuild and maintain specialist marine propulsion systems while working alongside a skilled engineering team.

Key responsibilities

• Repair, overhaul and maintain marine and industrial transmission systems.
• Strip, inspect and rebuild transmissions, torque converters, axles and driveline components.
• Diagnose mechanical faults and carry out high‑standard repairs.
• Support assembly, fitting and testing activities for new‑build and customer‑repair projects.
• Work Monday to Friday on‑site with occasional travel as required.

Required profile

• Workshop Engineer, Mechanical Technician or Mechanical Fitter with transmission experience.
• Hands‑on experience with gearboxes, driveline or propulsion systems.
• Ability to work to high engineering standards in a team environment.
