Workshop Operative – Commercial Furniture Production

About the role
We are seeking a motivated Workshop Operative to join our fast‑moving team in Reading, producing high‑quality commercial furniture and structural wood products. The role is full‑time, Monday‑Friday, with an immediate start and an ongoing temporary contract.
Key responsibilities
- Cut, assemble and build a variety of wooden components using hand and power tools.
- Operate workshop machinery and saws safely and efficiently.
- Maintain strict quality standards and report any defects.
- Keep the workshop tidy, organised and compliant with health‑and‑safety procedures.
Required profile
- Practical, hands‑on approach with a willingness to learn.
- Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
- Comfortable working with tools in a workshop environment.
Required skills
- Use of woodworking tools.
- Operation of saws and related machinery.
