Workshop Technician – Mechanical (Stroud)

About the role

This is a static, full‑time position within a close‑knit aviation support business based in Stroud. You will work in the mechanical workshop assembling, installing and maintaining bespoke fluid‑transfer equipment for airport and military clients.

Key responsibilities

• Assemble and install fluid transfer systems, including pumps, valves and pipework.
• Carry out routine maintenance, fault‑finding and repairs on hydraulic and pneumatic equipment.
• Check systems for faults and ensure smooth operation of all installed components.
• Work with a range of tools to bend pipe, fit components and test assemblies.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and follow health‑and‑safety procedures.

Required profile

• Proven experience in a mechanical workshop or maintenance environment.
• Background in pneumatics, hydraulics, pipe bending or similar disciplines.
• Willingness to undertake training on bespoke aviation equipment.
• Ability to work independently in a static, on‑site role.
