About the role
Join a long‑standing builders merchant as a Yard Assistant, providing high‑level customer service in a busy yard environment. You will receive full in‑house training on building materials and stock handling, working Monday to Friday and alternate Saturday mornings.
Key responsibilities
- Organise and maintain stock levels throughout the yard.
- Prepare customer orders and assist with deliveries.
- Operate a forklift safely to move materials.
- Deliver a professional, friendly service to all yard visitors.
Required profile
- Valid forklift licence and practical forklift experience.
- Interest in a hands‑on, varied role within a close‑knit team.
- Willingness to work a 47‑hour week, including occasional Saturday mornings.
Required skills
- Forklift operation (licensed).
What we offer
- Salary between £31,000 and £33,000 per year.
- 32 days holiday.
