Yard Operative – Forklift Driver

About the role
We are seeking a reliable Yard Operative with forklift experience to join a busy builders’ merchant yard in Kings Langley. The role is full‑time, Monday‑to‑Friday with occasional Saturday rota, and involves hands‑on work in an outdoor, fast‑paced environment.
Key responsibilities
- Load and unload vehicles safely and efficiently.
- Serve trade and retail customers within the yard.
- Pick, pack and prepare customer orders for dispatch.
- Maintain a clean, organised and safe yard environment.
- Operate a forklift where qualified or experienced.
- Assist with general yard duties as required.
Required profile
- Valid forklift licence or proven forklift operating experience.
- Strong work ethic, punctual and reliable.
- Ability to thrive in a busy, physical setting.
- Good communication and customer‑service attitude.
