Yard Person / Mill Operative – Animal Feed Mill

About the role

Join a family‑owned, state‑of‑the‑art animal feed mill located just outside Long Stratton, Norfolk. As a Yard Person/Mill Operative you will support the Mill Manager in producing high‑quality feed for outdoor pig breeding units across the east of England.

Key responsibilities

• Load and unload raw materials and finished product.
• Operate the bespoke milling control system to manage the milling process.
• Perform basic maintenance, cleaning and manual handling of ingredients.
• Weigh and sample raw materials, and maintain stock inventory.

Required profile

• Can‑do attitude with eagerness to learn all aspects of the mill.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Competent computer use and fluent English communication (written and verbal).
• Full UK driving licence, physically fit and flexible working attitude.

Required skills

• Forklift/telehandler licence (training provided if required).
• Computer operation.
• Milling process control.
• Basic health and safety awareness.
